Adventure and new experiences is what Boy Scouting is all about. Once you step into the world of Scouting you will hike along trails, canoe across misty lakes, camp under the open sky and cook your meals over a camp stove. The knowledge and attitudes you develop as a Scout will be with you the rest of your life. Scouting is a doorway to friendship. It is a worldwide brotherhood many millions strong. Scouting teaches Leadership skills and inspires boys to strive for personal excellence. Experiences that will enhance life boys to young men long into adulthood.Troop 562 meets at 7:15 PM on Monday evenings at First United Methodist Church 433 Erlanger St
in Old Town Slidell and is part of the Southeast Louisiana Council located in New Orleans, LA. Check the Troop Activity Calender for more information.
Any boy who has completed the fifth grade or who has earned the Arrow of Light Award, or who is eleven years old but not yet eighteen can join our Boy Scout Troop. We have members of all different religious affiliations. Join us at Troop 562 or just stop by. You'll be glad you did !
